Mineral Sunscreens<\/strong> contain either Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide and both. Some of the common Chemical Sunscreens contain either and\/or\u00a0Oxybenzone,\u00a0Avobenzone,\u00a0Octinoxate,\u00a0Homosalate,\u00a0Octisalate,\u00a0Octocrylene.

Most Chemical Sunscreens are harmful. Some of these chemical screens are known as hormone disruptors.\u00a0

In a 2019 and 2020 study, researchers found that Chemical sunscreen active ingredients are absorbed into the body\u00a0and could be detected on the skin and in blood weeks after application ended.

This is worrying because we do not have sufficient evidence to determine if these chemicals are causing harm in our body. Without enough safety data on chemical screens, it is safer to use a mineral sunscreen.

However, mineral sunscreens clog pores easily and have high risk of breaking out acne-prone skin.
