HOW TO USE

For the first 5 days, conduct the Half-face Test in the morning and evening:

  1. Cleanse whole face with Calming Cleanser in the morning and evening. If you’re wearing makeup or sunscreen, double cleanse in the evening by starting with Soothing Cleansing Gel first followed by Calming Cleanser.
  2. On the RIGHT side of the face, use Glow Exfoliant on acne and post-acne marks only.
  3. Apply Hydrating Serum to whole face.
  4. On the LEFT side of the face, use Clarifying Serum on acne and post-acne marks only.

• If your acne is not on the left and right side of your face, test by using Glow Exfoliant on the upper side of your face, then Clarifying Serum on the lower side.

5. Moisturize with Skinlycious Barrier Booster Moisturizer if your skin feels tight after applying Skinlycious Hydrating Serum. If a richer moisturizer is needed, mix in or layer on Skinlycious Balancing Facial Oil.
For Younger Skin & Humid Climates : Hydrating Serum is usually enough as the sole moisturizer.
For Adult Skin & Drier Climates : Mix in or layer on Barrier Booster Moisturizer and add Balancing Facial Oil if a richer moisturizer is needed.
6. Apply Multi Protection Mineral Sunscreen on whole face in the morning only.

After 5 days:
• If all products are suitable, use Steps 1B to 6 in the morning and Steps 1A to 5 in the evening.
• Otherwise, continue to use the routine that worked best for you in the first 5 days.

    My skin is sensitive and breakout easily. Followed the instructions to test Glow Exfoliant and Clarifying Serum.
    I literally can see my bumps flattening with Cl. Serum on my R side and the bumps became more inflamed with Glow Exf on my L side. After stopping Glow Exf. and using Cl.Serum, the redness and the pimples subsided.

    Ever since covid started I found myself to have breakouts which has never happened before. Acne and pimples kept coming and adding on all around the same spots and left reddish/purplish marks. I tried many K-products but still new pimples come appear one after another.     Personally, I feel using Skinlycious Hydrating serum and mosituriser day and night plus Clarifying serum and alternate with Glow Exfoliant made my skin adhere to makeup better and skin has less bumps too.
    Makeup adheres better, no need for too much powder and foundation. Other brands is not enough, my skin feels a bit taut and oily after makeup.

FAQ

Q1. How long do I need to use before I can see results?
A1.Anti-acne products need time to work. Many of you will be able to see improvements in a few days. However, to achieve clear skin, a good estimate is 2-3 months. Some people might experience faster results but usually those are the milder cases. After 3 months, if you still do not see any improvement, it’s best you consult a doctor as you might need medication. 

Q2. I have oily and acne skin. Why do I still need to apply hydrator/moisturiser?
A2. Most people suffering from oily and acne skin has dehydrated but oily skin. Our oil-free water-based hydrator will hydrate your skin without adding more oil to your skin. When your face is hydrated, this will in turn stimulate your skin to produce less oil, thus less clogged pores and in turn less acne.

Q3. Why are you using alcohol in Glow Exfoliant?
A3. Alcohol is needed to dissolve salicylic acid. We have tried other forms of salicylic acid to do away with alcohol but it gave Jasmine breakouts instead.

Q4. Do I still need to use Hydrating Serum before using Barrier Booster Moisturiser?
A4.Yes. We highly recommend that you use hydrating serum as it adds water and holds water in your skin. 64% of skin is water, so hydration is absolutely necessary. Barrier Booster Moisturiser serves to add oil and lock in the hydration.

Q5. Why is there different SPF listed in the sunscreen?
A5.SPF measures how well a sunscreen will protect your skin from UVB rays (the kind of radiation that causes sunburn) while PA+++ rating is a Japanese rating for measuring UVA rays (the kind of radiation that causes skin aging).

We’ve sent our sunscreen for testing on humans according to US and EU standards. In Asia, we can claim SPF47 PA+++ but in US and EU, the UVA rays protection needs to be 1/3 that of the SPF ratings, hence we can only claim Broad Spectrum SPF30.

Q6. Why the need for the half face test?
A6. Because there are only few fixed ingredients that can be used in skin care for fighting acne. Its really important to find which ingredients suits you the best.
