1. How’s the texture of Clarifying Serum?
Clarifying Serum absorbs quickly and goes clear. It’s not sticky too!
2. What is stabilised Vitamin C?
Sodium ascorbyl phosphate is a derivative, more stable form of Vitamin C, hence it oxidises slower, turning yellow slower, giving you the most out of its benefits. It’s more gentle than the potent form L-ascorbic acid, hence it’s more suitable for sensitive skin.
3. How do I store Clarifying Serum?
Clarifying Serum has to be kept away from sun and heat too to slow down its oxidising rate, i.e. turning yellow. Make sure that the cap is always tightened too! Do not store in the refrigerator.
4. Why does Clarifying Serum turn yellow?
That’s because the Vitamin C in Clarifying Serum is oxidising. Don’t be alarmed. Oxidisation is a natural process of Vitamin C. The vitamin C, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, is already a more stable form that oxidises much slower than L-ascorbic acid.
Usually, Clarifying Serum will start turn to light yellow 7 to 9 months from manufacturing date. It will decrease its efficacy a little, but we have put in a high dose of Vitamin C. It does not cause skin irritation. Remember to always tighten the cap.
However, if the color has turned to a color like brown, then it shouldn’t be used anymore.
5. Can I use Clarifying Serum with retinol?
It’s best not to use Clarifying Serum with retinol. If you would like to use retinol, you can use that in the night and Vit C (Clarifying Serum) in the morning.
However, if you are having acne issues, we encourage you to stick to our recommended routine first. Start with our starter kit, do our signature half-face test and identify which actives/routine work best for you.
6. How was Clarifying Serum developed?
Clarifying Serum was developed with fellow Acne Fighters, who couldn’t use acids-based Glow Exfoliant. One of the fellow Acne fighters, Jun Qi, shared his success story here. We went through many variations before finalising on this current formula and it has since benefited many others who couldn’t use acids-based spot treatment.
That’s also how we developed our signature half-face test for first-time users to identify which spot corrector suits them.

I like the texture which does not feel stickiness after application. As I work in healthcare therefore need to wear mask 12hrs a day at work therefore will causes maskne and it help out alot. It does not cause dryness which I like it alot as I have sensitive skin and mild eczema so was kind skeptical in trying out Skinlycious products when I saw it in insta. But after seeing the reviews, I just give it a try. Currently I’m using their cleanser, serum and blemish corrector. All 3 work well on me. Glad that I have give it a try.

My skin type is combination and mild sensitive. I’m using it mainly for small acne only since it works slower than Glow Exfoliator but more gentler on skin which will be great for those with very sensitive skin. Love how it got absorbed into my skin unlike the gel-like treatments I used previously from different brands. But won’t recommend it to those who have big acne if they wish to cure it faster unless they don’t mind it.

Bought the blemish corrector a month ago to try out. After applied on the affected area, the skin feels a little tighter but not irritating to my skin. After a month of usage, the blemishes on my left cheek shrunk and the dark reddish colour lightens. I am totally sold over. Will buy the rest of the products in the anti-acne bundle to try out on my next purchase. Hope there is a jumbo size version of this blemish corrector as well as the cleanser soon.

I was a bit skeptical that this new blemish corrector could replace my holy grail anti acne solution, but I gave it a go anyway as I have used quite a lot of skinlycious products and they never disappoint. I was surprised that this blemish corrector is so light weight and easily absorbed into the skin! I noticed that my angry acne was visibly calmer the next day after application. The best thing is that it is non drying. If you are a fan of the anti acne solution, you would know that it can be pretty drying if you use it twice a day and sometimes causes dry patches. I can’t wait for the full size to be launched as I prefer squeezy tubes
