HOW CALMING CLEANSER WAS DEVELOPED

Calming Cleanser was first learnt from a dermatologist that helped our founder, Jasmine, clear her 14 years of acne. Over the years, Calming Cleanser has gone through a few rounds of formulation changes to suit different skin types, and has been co-developed from valuable feedback from fellow acne fighters.

According to Jasmine, our founder, cleansers are one of the hardest to formulate as many surfactants trigger increase sebum production on her skin. It took many trials and experimentation to find a blend of surfactants that cleanses well and doesn’t disturb her skin balance, allowing her skin to stay matte the whole day.

In one of the past formulation, we added in tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is suppose to help with acne skin but instead, a small percentage of our regulars who had no issues with our past versions started breaking out. It was then that we decided that Skinlycious would be Essential Oil free.

The current formulation is Free Of Sulfates, has No Essential Oil & is the best version that Skinlycious has ever produced.

After using calming cleanser, my face feels smooth and clean. And w the flow exfoliant, my pimple become flatten and smaller. Its really good. FAQ

Q1. How long do I need to use before I can see results?
A1. Anti-acne products need time to work. For best results, use together with anti-acne solution. A good estimate is 2-3 months. Some people might experience faster results but usually those are the milder cases. After 3 months, if you still do not see any improvement, it’s best you consult a doctor as you might need medication.

Q2. Is this drying? A lot of anti-acne cleansers are very drying.
A2. No, our product do not leave your skin feeling tight and dry after washing. It’s gentle yet thorough in cleansing. Try it and feel the difference!

Q3. I have back acne. Will this cleanser help?
A3. Certainly! Jasmine, our founder, had her back acne cleared using a calamine cleanser and Glow Exfoliant.

Q4. If I have occasional outbreaks especially during the time of the month, is this cleanser suitable for me?
A4. The surfactants(cleansing agents) are so gentle that you can use it twice daily without worries. Our cleanser contains lactic acid and lactoserum that helps to balance the skin pH. This will help prevent and/or reduce severity of the outbreak.

Q5. Soothing Cleansing Gel and Calming Cleanser, what’s the difference?
A5. Soothing Cleansing Gel is formulated for those who have sensitive or sensitised skin. Also, Soothing Cleansing Gel removes makeup and sunscreen whereas Calming Cleanser does not.

Q6. Is Calming Cleanser vegan?
A6. All our products are vegan except Calming Cleanser, which contains Whey derived from cow’s milk.
