Most skin routines unknowingly damage the skin barrier at both ends: a cleanser that strips, followed by a moisturiser that clogs. This bundle solves both problems at once.
Calming Cleanser uses a carefully selected blend of gentle, plant-derived surfactants that lift away dirt, excess oil, and impurities without compromising your skin’s protective barrier. That tight, squeaky-clean feeling after washing? That’s your barrier being disrupted — not a sign of a good cleanse. Because the formula doesn’t strip, sebum production stays balanced throughout the day — no mid-afternoon shine, no rebound oiliness.
Hydrating Serum picks up exactly where the cleanser leaves off. Sodium Hyaluronate and Sodium PCA attract water into the skin and hold it there from within — not by coating the surface with oils or occlusives. The formula is completely oil-free, absorbs instantly, and leaves no residue. Oily and acne-prone skin gets the hydration it needs without the congestion it doesn’t.

There’s a difference between products that don’t damage your skin and products that actively make it stronger. Both products in this bundle do the latter.
Calming Cleanser is pH-balanced to bring your skin back to its natural acidity (around 4.5–5.5) with every wash. When skin pH tips alkaline — which happens with most conventional cleansers — the barrier weakens and becomes more vulnerable to sensitivity and breakouts. Calamine helps visibly reduce redness with every wash, so if your skin tends to look reactive after cleansing, this formula works with your skin rather than against it.
Hydrating Serum goes deeper still. NMF — the Natural Moisturising Factor — is what keeps your barrier resilient. NMF is depleted by ageing, harsh skincare, stress, and skin conditions like acne and eczema. Hydrating Serum replenishes it with Sodium PCA and 15 amino acids that mirror what healthy skin produces on its own. You’re not masking dryness — you’re rebuilding what was lost.

Neither product came from a trend or a generic formulation brief. Both started with Jasmine — our founder — who spent 14 years battling acne before a dermatologist finally helped her turn things around.
The cleanser story is deeply personal. Most cleansers on the market would throw Jasmine’s skin balance off completely — within 2–3 hours of washing, her skin would turn oily, not because of how much sebum she naturally produced, but because the cleanser had stripped her skin into overcompensating. With the right formulation, she discovered, her skin could stay matte the whole day. Cleansers and sunscreen are, by far, the two hardest products to formulate for Jasmine’s acne-prone, oily-prone, sensitive skin. The cleanser’s formula has been refined multiple times based on real community feedback, with every change in service of one goal. One example: when a tea tree oil addition caused breakouts in long-time users, it was removed immediately. Skinlycious has been essential-oil-free ever since.
The serum has an equally personal story. Years of harsh acne treatments had stripped Jasmine’s barrier so thoroughly that by age 20, she had a visible deep forehead wrinkle — not from ageing, but from dehydration and damage. An aesthetic doctor introduced her to a Sodium Hyaluronate serum at 23, and that wrinkle gradually disappeared. For nearly 9 years before Skinlycious existed, she bought that same serum from her doctor at three times the price. When she built the brand, she improved the formula — adding Sodium PCA and 15 amino acids to replenish NMF, and calibrating every concentration precisely, because even small shifts threw her sensitive skin off balance.

Your skin needs both. Water keeps cells plump, resilient, and balanced. Oil seals that water in and protects the barrier. When that ratio is right for your skin type, the visible signs of imbalance — rough texture, frequent breakouts, reactive sensitivity — have less reason to show up.

Calming Cleanser was first learnt from a dermatologist that helped our founder, Jasmine, clear her 14 years of acne. Over the years, Calming Cleanser has gone through a few rounds of formulation changes to suit different skin types, and has been co-developed from valuable feedback from fellow acne fighters.
According to Jasmine, our founder, cleansers are one of the hardest to formulate as many surfactants trigger increase sebum production on her skin. It took many trials and experimentation to find a blend of surfactants that cleanses well and doesn’t disturb her skin balance, allowing her skin to stay matte the whole day.
In one of the past formulation, we added in tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is suppose to help with acne skin but instead, a small percentage of our regulars who had no issues with our past versions started breaking out. It was then that we decided that Skinlycious would be Essential Oil free.
The current formulation is Free Of Sulfates, has No Essential Oil & is the best version that Skinlycious has ever produced.
