Consistency is what clears skin long-term. This routine is simple enough to stick to every day.

STEP 1: Calming Cleanser

When: Morning & Night & after Heavy Sweating

How: Wet face, massage a coin-sized amount for ~1 min, rinse.

Massage oilier areas longer, drier areas shorter.

STEP 2: Hydrating Serum

Apply 2–3 pumps evenly on whole face and neck

Skin still damp = better absorption.

STEP 3: Clarifying Serum

Apply directly to active blemishes or post-acne marks using a clean fingertip. No rinse needed.

Can also be applied as a thin layer over the full face as a daily skin health booster.

If you have a tight, pulling feel after applying Hydrating Serum, your skin barrier may either be too weak resulting in Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL) or your skin is drier and needs an oil-based moisturiser. Mix in or Layer on Barrier Booster Moisturiser.

The Clarifying Serum uses Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (stable Vitamin C) and Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) — a vitamin-based combination that targets blemish-causing bacteria and calms redness. The Cleanser & Serum — Jasmine’s Story

The cleanser story is deeply personal. Most cleansers on the market would throw Jasmine’s skin balance off completely — within 2–3 hours of washing, her skin would turn oily, not because of how much sebum she naturally produced, but because the cleanser had stripped her skin into overcompensating. With the right formulation, her skin could stay matte the whole day.

That difference became the whole point of Calming Cleanser. Cleansers and sunscreen are, by far, the two hardest products to formulate for acne-prone, oily-prone, sensitive skin — finding a formula that cleanses thoroughly without triggering rebound oiliness took years of testing.

The Hydrating Serum came from a different personal discovery. Jasmine bought the original Sodium Hyaluronate serum from her aesthetic doctor for 9 years at three times the price — the only moisturiser that ever worked for her acne-prone, reactive skin.

By age 20, years of harsh acne treatments had left her with a deep forehead wrinkle. After using the serum from age 23, that wrinkle gradually disappeared. The Skinlycious version improves on the original with NMF replenishment built in.

The Clarifying Serum — Junqi’s Story

Clarifying Serum was developed because of Junqi — a Skinlycious customer who, like Jasmine, had struggled with acne for years and tried Accutane. Every time he stopped his medication, his acne returned with a vengeance. When he tried Glow Exfoliant, his skin couldn’t tolerate the acids. Jasmine recognised the gap: there was no effective, acid-free spot corrector that genuinely worked.

She developed Clarifying Serum with Junqi’s feedback — through multiple rounds of testing — until they reached a formula that visibly reduced and flattened his blemishes without any of the irritation he’d experienced before. Is this kit suitable for teens?

Yes. All three products are free from acids, essential oils, synthetic fragrances, sulfates, and parabens — gentle enough for young and sensitive skin while being effective on active breakouts and marks.

However, we recommend a gradual start to ensure the best results.

Step 1: The Test Phase

Before daily use, start with our Starter Kit and perform a half-face test. This helps you see whether the acid-based Glow Exfoliant (GE) or vitamin-based Clarifying Serum (CS) works better to flatten your existing breakouts.

Step 2: Once we identified the right spot treatment, it’s active correction.

• Cleansing & Hydrating: You can use our Calming Cleanser (CC) and Hydrating Serum (HS) more than twice a day if needed — especially after heavy sweating during PE or CCA.
• Spot Treating: Apply Clarifying Serum to active breakouts twice daily. Spot treating only once a day is not effective for neutralizing acne bacteria.

Step 3: Maintainance Mode
Once your acne has cleared, you can adjust your routine :

• Daily Essentials: Continue using the Calming Cleanser and Hydrating Serum daily; they are gentle, safe, and designed to keep skin balanced. It’s recommended to add on Sunscreen.

• For below 25 years old, stop spot treating: You no longer need CS on blemishes daily.

• For 25 years old and above : Cellular aging starts at 25 years old. Using CS on your whole face twice daily to help prevent dullness and keep your skin’s foundation strong.

How is this different from the Clear Skin Potent Kit?

Both kits include Calming Cleanser and Hydrating Serum. The difference is the spot corrector. The Potent Kit uses Glow Exfoliant — a BHA + AHA formula ideal for deep pore-clearing and exfoliation. The Hydrate Kit uses Clarifying Serum — a Vitamin C + Vitamin B3 formula for skin that prefers a vitamin-based approach without acids.

They address the same concerns through different mechanisms, for different skin types.

My skin is oily — do I still need the Hydrating Serum?

Yes. Oily skin is often dehydrated — when skin lacks water, it overproduces oil to compensate. Hydrating Serum is completely oil-free, so it gives your skin the water it needs without adding any greasiness. For most oily skin types in tropical climate, it’s all the moisturiser you’ll ever need.

Why apply Hydrating Serum before Clarifying Serum?

Since Hydrating Serum and Clarifying Serum are both oil-free, we hydrate the skin first before using other actives for better absorption. When skin is hydrated, the subsequent skincare gets absorbed into the skin better.

At what age should I start using Clarifying Serum on my whole face?

Age 25 is the sweet spot. Scientifically, this is when skin cellular aging begins, and your skin needs more support to maintain its natural glow. Using Clarifying Serum on your whole face at this stage helps prevent dullness and keeps your skin’s foundation strong.
